ERA test

WHAT IS THE RECEPTIVITY OF ENDOMETRIAL?

Within a natural cycle of ovulation, the endometrium is most receptive during a specific days of ovulation. This is known as window of implantation, and is usually located between 19-21 days since the start of the last menstrual (days 5-7 after you ovulate).
Throughout the menstrual cycle, the structure of the endometrium is thickening to prepare for the reception of the possible embryo. If it has been produced by the fertilization of the egg, the resulting embryo will have traveled from the fallopian tubes to the wall of the endometrium in about 5-7 days. If the endometrium is receptive, the implementation will produce.

The Test ERA made possible to learn this window of implantation, which can be a decisive factor for achieving pregnancy through assisted reproduction treatment.

WHAT IS THE TEST ERA OF
ENDOMETRIAL RECEPTIVITY?

The test ERA of endometrial receptivity consists of performing a biopsy
in the endometrium during the window of implantation of the patient.

Step 1

A gynecologist will take a sample of the endometrial tissue and enters an “ERA Cryotube” that allows to preserve the tissue sample and take it to analyze at the lab.

Step 2

We analyze the expression of 238 genes involved in endometrial receptivity,, to assess the state of the endometrium and to determine if the woman has a profile gene of endometrial receptivity at the time of the biopsy. Approximately in 20 days, the results of the test are given.

Step 3

This simple test allows you to calculate what is the best time to transfer the embryos after In-Vitro Fertilization in a personalized way for each woman, trying to coordinate the best time of the endometrium and the best embryos, in order to facilitate its implementation. This test is indicated for patients with uterus apparently normal and thickness of the endometrium normal but who have had repeated failures of implantation.

WHAT WILL INDICATE THE TEST ERA OF ENDOMETRIAL RECEPTIVITY?

The endometrium is receptive

The window of implantation is localized on the day of biopsy and the endometrium is receptive during those days. The embryo transfer will be done during those optimal days for implantation in a cycle later.

The endometrium is not receptive

The endometrium is not receptive during those days. In this case, the analysis may suggest to perform a second biopsy by changing the day of the sample collection to evaluate if the window of implantation may be displaced.
